Offering an impressive 184,000 square feet  and 11 stories of multi-use creative space for arts and scholarship, the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts is a center for the arts on the University of Chicago campus and on the South Side of Chicago.

Distinguishing the Midway, Unifying the Campus
In designing the Logan Center, architects Tod Williams and Billie Tsien sought to draw attention across the Midway Plaisance while also unifying the University campus. The building’s vertical orientation both attracts the eye to the University’s south campus and provides unmatched views of the main quads. While the horizontal stone slabs, large glass openings, and cantilevered protrusions distinguish the building from its Gothic counterparts across the Midway, Williams and Tsien established continuity by incorporating limestone and incredible height into the design, mirroring the appearance of some of the University’s oldest buildings. The Logan Center was awarded the AIA's New York Merit Award in 2015 and the AL's Light & Architecture Award in 2014.

Creative Facilities
Included in the wide array of arts facilities the building provides are a performance hall, a screening room, a performance penthouse, a digital media center including editing suites, a café, two theaters, exhibition space, classrooms, studios, rehearsal rooms, and performance labs.
